With us, you are at the centre
For a life that follows your own path
Would you like to shape your life according to your own ideas?
Decide for yourself when you go out, go to work, do vocational training or study, meet friends, travel or organise your everyday life in the way that is right for you? Then comitante is the right place for you.
Every person has the right to self-determination, equal participation and a life in dignity. A disability, an illness, a visual impairment or a need for care can make everyday life more difficult and mean that support becomes necessary. For us, however, support does not mean making decisions for you or simply taking things over. It should enable you to shape your life as independently and self-determined as possible and according to your own ideas.
At comitante, you are at the centre. It is not authorities, forms or rigid rules that decide the way, but your wishes, your goals and your personal situation. Together we find out which support suits your everyday life and what options there are to organise and fund it.
Our areas of support
Support that fits your life
Which benefits may be possible for you depends on your personal situation. We look together at what is possible.
-
Integration assistance & Personal Budget
Participation benefits as a Personal Budget: you decide who supports you – when, where and how. We accompany you from your first question to the official decision.
-
Social participation
Assistance for your everyday life: in the household, when out and about, at appointments, in your free time and in family life – the way you want to live.
-
Participation in working life
Work assistance as well as assistance in vocational training, at school and at university – so that your abilities count, not the barriers in front of them.
-
Help with care costs
When long-term care insurance is not enough: we explain your options and plan care and participation together.
-
Personal assistance
From everyday assistance to assistance at home: support that is based on your life and strengthens your independence.
-
Vehicle assistance
Grants for a suitable vehicle, disability-related conversions and additional equipment – we support you with your application.
Who we support
The person counts – not the diagnosis
We support people in very different life situations:
Depending on individual needs, we support you in everyday life, with mobility and orientation, at school, in training, at university and at work, at doctor's and official appointments, in the household, with social contacts, in your free time and when travelling – through work assistance, parenting assistance, leisure assistance, mobility assistance and other forms of assistance.
- People with physical disabilities
- Blind and severely visually impaired people
- People with mental or psychological illnesses
- People in need of care from care level 2 (Pflegegrad 2)
How we support you
Step by step – from your first question to the official decision
Many people do not know which benefits they are entitled to, or feel overwhelmed by applications and official procedures. That is exactly why we accompany you through the entire process, if you wish.
-
Getting to know you
You tell us about your situation, your wishes and your goals – without obligation and at your own pace.
-
Clarifying your options
We explain in plain language which benefits from integration assistance, help with care costs, the Personal Budget or other funding bodies may be possible.
-
Preparing the application
Together we prepare the necessary documents and submit the application.
-
Support until the decision
We stay by your side – throughout the entire approval process and beyond.
A special focus
The Personal Budget
The Personal Budget (Persönliches Budget) enables many people with disabilities or care needs to organise the support they need themselves and to decide for themselves who provides support, when, where and how.
This means more self-determination, more freedom of choice, more flexibility and more control over your own life. We help you find out whether the Personal Budget is an option for you and, if you wish, accompany you through the entire application process.
More about the Personal Budget“Persons entitled to benefits can, on application, receive participation benefits through a Personal Budget.”

Service model
You commission an assistance service such as comitante. We take care of scheduling, cover, contracts, billing and insurance – you concentrate on your everyday life.
Employer model
You are the employer of your assistants and decide who supports you and how. The highest degree of self-determination – with the corresponding responsibility.
Budget assistance
Support with contracts, rosters, payroll and contact with authorities. You still make the decisions.
Communication without barriers
comitante in your language
Language should never be a barrier. This website is available in 13 languages – simply choose the language you feel most comfortable with. The read-aloud function will then also speak in your language.
comitante stands for support that does not decide for you, but makes things possible.
Our goal is not to make people dependent, but to strengthen them. We want to break down barriers, promote existing abilities and develop solutions together that fit your life in the long term. We always meet you with respect, appreciation and as equals.
For more self-determination. For more participation. For a better quality of life.
For a life that follows your own path.
Let's talk
