The read-aloud function

On comitante.de, the read-aloud function is switched on by default. You do not need to activate anything:

The read-aloud function uses your device's speech output. If you read the website in another language, it speaks in that language – provided a suitable voice is installed on your device.

• Tap or click on any text – it will be read aloud immediately.
• Select a text – then exactly this passage will be read aloud.
• “Read page aloud” in the bar at the bottom reads the whole page from top to bottom.
• “Stop” or the Esc key ends the reading.
• Under “Speed” you can set how fast the text is read.
• You can switch the function off with the “Read aloud” switch at the bottom right.

Further aids

• Increase or decrease the text size with A+ and A−
• Contrast mode for stronger colour differences
• Keyboard operation: you can reach all links and buttons with the Tab key, and a skip link takes you straight to the content
• Less motion: if you have set “Reduce motion” on your device, the website does without animations
• 13 languages – choose the flag of your language at the top
• Your settings are saved until you change them

Accessibility status

This website was designed and developed according to the requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.2, level AA): with a clear structure, sufficient contrast, text alternatives for images and full keyboard operability.

Known limitation: the read-aloud function depends on the voices installed on your device. For some languages – for example Albanian or Bosnian – voices are not available on all devices. If you already use a screen reader, you can switch off the read-aloud function at the bottom right.
